    Mr. Muharrem Yılmaz, President of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD released the following press statement about the fire at the Galatasaray University. Following the statement:

    "We feel a deep sorrow about the fire at the historical building of the Galatasaray University. The building is a precious heritage of the Ottoman Empire and has a special place in the history of Turkish education and in the memory of the Galatasaray alumni.

    We hope that restoration works start urgently and education activities continue without interruption in this institution which educated many diplomats, public and private sector executives, scientists and artists.

    We wish to express our feelings of solidarity to the students, academicians, managers and employees of the Galatasaray University, to the Galatasaray community and to all concerned people."
