Following the terrorist attack in Gaziantep, TÜSİAD declared that the common will, concerted discourse and the joint attitude of the leaders of political parties which will be displayed today, in Gaziantep, will defeat the violent plot against the stability of Turkey, against the subsistence of our nation with all the diversity it incorporates and against its democratic values. The statement of TÜSİAD is as follows:
“We condemn the terrorist attack in Gaziantep, and we pray for God’s mercy to the deceased and for speedy recovery of the injured.
“We reiterate our appeal of the previous week, and we invite all the political party leaders and all the responsible NGOs to stand together wisely in front of the terrorism and violence.
“The ongoing violence targets the stability of Turkey, the subsistence of our nation with all the diversity it incorporates and its democratic values. We believe that the common willpower, concerted discourse and the joint attitude of the leaders of political parties which will be displayed today, in Gaziantep, will defeat this violent plot.
“Further this common willpower will strengthen; further Turkey will consolidate its democracy, as a state of law which guarantees the freedoms without abandoning the search for a social consensus.”
