TÜSİAD: A new period for reforms in Turkey
We congratulate the incoming mayors and wish them success in their terms in office, focused on quality of life, smart city technologies and sustainable development goals. Now that the municipal elections have been completed, the time ahead of us free from elections and political campaigning is an important opportunity for economic, social and political reforms.
SİMONE KASLOWSKİ WAS ELECTED PRESIDENT OF TÜSİAD
The 49th General Assembly of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) convened in Istanbul today and elected a new Board of Directors.
Simone Kaslowski was elected President of TÜSİAD. Murat Özyeğin, Mehmet Tara and Bahadır Balkır were elected Vice Presidents.
The President of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) Erol Bilecik delivered opening remarks at the High Advisory Council meeting, convened in Ankara. The High Advisory Council is a biannual deliberative conference where the business world takes stock of domestic and global political and economic developments and offers suggestions to policy makers from a business perspective. The Minister of Education was also in attendance.

The training activities organized by TÜSİAD and ESMT aim at adapting the workforce to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
TÜSİAD strongly believes in the importance of following closely all the developments relevant to the integration of Industry 4.0 process at all stages of the value chain in other countries that we are competing with or in advanced economies we aim to reach. Within this framework, we have designed a cooperation project on the topic Industry 4.0 with the Berlin - based European School of Management and Technology (ESMT1) last year, which has already carried out substantial studies about digital transformation.
TUSIAD and BDI, during their meeting in Berlin, focused on Industry 4.0 and digital transformation topics as part of a positive agenda between the two countries. In this context, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the two institutions to enhance cooperation in the areas related to Industry 4.0.
More than 700 representatives from 28 countries attended the BRICA Istanbul Summit hosted by TÜSİAD. The opportunities for Turkey were evaluated at the summit where all aspects of Belt and Road Initiative were discussed.
