TÜSİAD’s publication GÖRÜŞ magazine addressed the developments in Middle East in its August issue. The magazine, published with the cover headline "POLITICS IN MIDDLE EAST: CLIMATE IS CHANGING", included articles discussing USA's new Middle East policy, the changes in Syria, and Palestine. The effect of Arab Spring on Turkey was assessed in the scope of the interview made with Erman Ilıcak, Member of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD and President of the Board of Directors of Rönensans Construction.
Ümit Boyner, President of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD, contributed to the cover subject with an article titled "Turkey as the Middle East changes". Boyner expressed that, although the change experienced is defined with the metaphor "spring", the dead of winter may as well arrive at the region, and therefore the process of change needs to be well-managed, and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in the process of change.
Boyner noted that the crisis in Middle East has already affected Turkey, and stated that the commercial relations were harmed, political tensions had emerged and humane problems were experienced. BOYNER stated that the changes in the region will also yield positive results, and expressed that new opportunities has emerged for Turkey and the value of Turkey as a model has increased.
In the latest issue of Görüş magazine, the urban transformation policies were discussed as a dossier. In this frame, the practices in Turkey in the field of urban transformation were evaluated. The articles also addressed the architecture and the construction sector, and the place of construction sector in economy and its contribution to growth were examined. GÖRÜŞ magazine also contained the discussions concerning the warning in Turkish economy, and the monetary policy of the Central Bank was addressed.
