From the Ethics in the State to Ethical State: Judicial Ethics

TÜSİAD carries out activities aiming at developing and reinforcing the ethical basis in the public and the business world. The report “Ethics in Public Service” published in 2005 as part of the “TÜSİAD - Ethical Basis of the State” report series was the first outcome of these activities. This publication was followed by the report “Business Ethics and Ethics Management” in 2009.

Within the scope of the “TÜSİAD - Ethical Basis of the State” series, a new report titled “From the Ethics in the State to Ethical State: Judicial Ethics” has been published. The report was prepared by Prof. Dr. Sibel İnceoğlu from the Istanbul Bilgi University Law Faculty, under the auspices of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee of TÜSİAD

The report evaluates the current body of laws and regulations, and the legal practice in the light of six basic values of Judicial Ethics, namely the principles of “Independence”, Impartiality”, “Integrity”, “Propriety”, “Equality” and “Competence and Diligence”.
