The Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE), of which TİSK and TÜSİAD are members of, is conducting a project supported by the European Commission and titled “BOSMIP” (Business Organisations as Single Market Integration Players) directed at its member employer and industrial organisations in the new European Union member countries or those countries in the accession process. TİSK and TÜSİAD are among the beneficiaries of the project. Seminars have been organised in order to transfer to the enterprises the necessary knowledge and experience on relevant topics in the process of alignment with the European Union acquis within the scope of the BOSMIP II project. In the framework of these seminars; one titled, “Occupational Health & Safety and Environment” has been organised in Ankara on 26-27 June 2008 with TİSK acting as host. “Occupational health & safety” and “environment”, topics with an immense importance for workplaces in the EU membership process have been addressed during the seminar in question. This publication is a collection of the presentations made and discussions held in this seminar.
