International Competitiveness Strategies: Turkish Food Industry

The report titled, “International Competitiveness Strategies: Turkish Food Industry” prepared by the TÜSİAD-Sabancı University Competitiveness Forum has been penned by Dr. Selma Tozanlı from Centre International de Hautes Etudes Agronomiques Mediterraneennes, Associate Professor Murat Donduran from Yıldız Technical University and Dr. Aylin Ataay from Galatasaray University. The report makes a comparative analysis of the structure of the food industry in the world and in Turkey while evaluating the opportunities and threats the globalisation process means for the Turkish food industry. In this context, the monopolist structures of the world food industry and the multinational food companies are examined and important clues are acquired in terms of the determination of the Turkish food industry’s structure and the competitiveness power of the food companies.
