The report on “Biotechnology Collaborations in Turkey” has been prepared with the objective of conveying the important developments experienced especially during the last five years in the field of biotechnology that will be the earmark of this century and have an impact on all the countries in the world and also in order to discuss what needs to be done concretely in Turkey during the period ahead of us. Two main questions are aspired to be answered in the report: 1) What are the developments and discussions that have left their mark in the field of biotechnology both in the world and in Turkey? 2) How can we transform the biotechnology-innovation system composed of the private companies, universities, finance, research, professional and state institutions in Turkey into a full functioning value
