The report prepared within the framework of TÜSİAD’s project “Sustainable Growth Strategies for Turkey” initiated from the viewpoint that the sustainability of high economic growth is the issue of top priority in the economy’s agenda following the establishment of macroeconomic stability in Turkey to a large extent; deals with the structure of production in the sectoral-regional context and examines the differences of development between the regions in its different dimensions. The EU and Regional Development Policies of Turkey is also touched upon and a brief analysis of the situation of the regional developmental differences in the EU and in Turkey has been made as well as an analysis of the demographic, economic and social structures of the regions.
