With the economic and financial crisis continuing and EU governments facing expanding domestic and international challenges, the prospect of a shrinking Europe is a major concern for business.  The success of the EU is vital for the success of the global economy with the outcome of the European integration project set to determine the future of all countries on the continent be they a member of the EU or not. The world needs an influential Europe that has a well-functioning single market, an influencial actor and a consolidated monetary union.

In this respect, TÜSİAD, Lewiatan and Economiesuisse has initiated a study project entitled “Future of European Integration: A Reform Call” tackling various aspects of the future of European integration in collaboration with prominent knowledge partners namely German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) Berlin, Think Tank Warsaw, Avenirsuisse Zurich and Boğaziçi University – TÜSİAD Foreign Policy Forum Istanbul.  This study aims to identify and to elaborate the areas of policy reform needed to attain a sustainable competitive Europe. The recommendations in the study prepared by the knowledge partners, are the fruit of an extensive constructive debate, alongside with a meticulous work, taking into account the effects of the substantial policy areas from the macro—micro economic convergence, international relations, to governance.

The launch of the report was organized in collaboration with European Policy Center on 04th of December, in Scotland House (Brussels).
