The report entitled "US-Turkish Economic Relations in a New Era: Analysis and Recommendations for a Stronger Strategic Partnership" jointly prepared by TÜSİAD and United States Chamber of Commerce (USCC) was launched on March 14, 2012, in an event hosted by the USCC in Washington, DC.
The report was part of the efforts towards developing bilateral economic relations between Turkey and US, and it was prepared by Sidar Global Advisors in coordination with United States Chamber of Commerce and USA Working Group of TÜSİAD International, the strategic business development unit of TÜSİAD. The report analyzes current status and legal framework of the trade and investment relations between two countries, emphasizes examples of successful industries and companies in a global and multilateral framework and concludes with proposals for developing bilateral economic relations.
He opening speech of the event was delivered by Mr. Michael Camuñez, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Market Access & Compliance of the U.S. Department of Commerce. In the meeting, TÜSİAD International Coordinator Mr. Bahadır Kaleağası expressed his opinions and comments on the subject.
The report was presented by Mr. Cenk Sidar, Managing Director of Sidar Global Advisors. Timur Söylemez, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Turkish Embassy in Washington DC, John Steely, President of the Turkey Working Group at the USCC, and Ms. Lisa Schroeter from the Dow Chemical Company shared their opinion and comments.
The report will be launched in Turkey as a TUSIAD-USCC joint event, within "Turkey-USA Business Forum" April 12, 2012, in Istanbul.
